De NETGEAR XS712T is een krachtige Smart Managed Switch met 12 10-Gigabit koperen poorten. De NETGEAR 10-Gigabit Smart Switches zijn speciaal ontworpen om een kosteneffectieve oplossing te bieden voor 10G-verbindingen met 10G-servers en NAS-systemen (Network Attached Storage). Ze kunnen worden gebruikt in de "core van een MKB-netwerk" of in een grotere organisatie als linkaggregatie-/access switch, inclusief werkgroeptoegang, in combinatie met een 10-Gigabit NETGEAR Fully Managed Switch, met de 10G-verbindingen van core naar edge. De XS712T is ook ideaal voor kleine werkgroepen die behoefte hebben aan hoge bandbreedte voor het samenwerken aan en het delen, bewerken en publiceren van high-density inhoud zoals video's of animaties.
